How does an innovator's mind work?
They observe and find solutions to everyday problems from nature. Can we say that all our inventions are associated with nature? The structure and angle of helicopter wings are derived from birds, the very famous Velcro was devised from a plant, and many more like these..
Today I bring you the coolest invention that you are going to read about. Can you guess what it could be?
It is a Wall Climbing Robot. Yes, a Robot that can climb the wall upside down. How can it not fall when it is upside down?

There are actually 3 mechanisms of wall-climbing robots:
- Soft robotics - When you mimic the physical characteristics of Living Organisms in Robotics. I guess soon we'll be seeing Dino-Bots roaming around in the neighborhood.
- Magnetics - When we use magnetics Robots climb walls or any magnetic surface in particular.
- Vacuum/ Suction - When we use Vacuum and Suction in Robotics to climb a wall or any surface in particular.
There are a few notable wall-climbing robots that I would love to describe here:
1. VertiGO - The very first Wall climbing bot that was featured by major channels like Disney and Discovery. It has a unique way of climbing the walls. Vertigo uses thrust from its propeller to maneuver on flat planes and on vertical walls.
2. Gecko Robotics -They have innovated an Autonomous, Artificial intelligence-based wall climbing robot, which helps humans inspect dangerous places like tanks, Nuclear Plants, and Hydro Power Plant without any loss of life.

3. Haus Bots - Innovation never stops and HausBots didn't just want to stick with the standard vacuum and seal. So they created a special bot that gets stuck to any wall by creating pressure differentiation similar to an F1 Racing Car because of this they can carry an additional payload of up to 6 Kgs.
4. ElectroAdhesion Technology by InTech - This wall-climbing robot got its inspiration from a Gecko or Chipkali. All of this is possible because of the Van Der Waals Forces which causes the Robot to stick on any surface.
And there are many, many more. Innovations are being made every minute, and I have hand-picked just a few here!
Now if I say that you can also make Robots just like this will you be excited? I know you will be excited. Click on the “Check Now” button and explore the widest range of Robotics Kit on our website.
