What is the overall timeline for the league?
Avishkaar League has two stages across three challenges:
Stage 1: August – December 2025
IRC League: You’ll compete in state-level zonal rounds held offline. Exact dates will be posted on the IRC League competition page.
Avishkaar Makeathon & Avishkaar Game League: These happen entirely online. Check each challenge’s page for how to join and important dates.
Stage 2 (#CelebrateAvishkaar event): January 2026
All teams that qualify in Stage 1 will be invited to an exciting offline event in Delhi.
Can a student or team participate in more than one challenge?
Yes, and there are special awards for teams that participate across multiple challenges.

What is the 2025-26 theme and where can I find the problem statements?
The current theme is “Code of Duty”. You can find the details of the theme and problem statements on the Avishkaar community website.
How many members can a team have, and what are the categories?
Teams are divided into Primary, Junior, Middle, and Senior categories. Each team can have 2 to 4 members.
How is the competition structured?
The IRC League unfolds in two exciting stages. In Stage 1, teams compete in state-level zonal rounds to showcase their skills and earn their spot. The top performers from each zone then move on to Stage 2 - the International Finale - where they face off against the best of the best on a global stage
How do I select my zonal round?
You can select your zonal in the My Avishkaar portal after you register your team.
Are bots required to run on the official Avishkaar arena?
Yes, and official arena and prop sets can be purchased as per the required specifications. The specifications and designs are mentioned in the problem statement document as well.
Are there any component restrictions or requirements?
Only Avishkaar Products (Hardware Kit & Softwares) are allowed. You will find more details in the Verification Guideline & Problem statement document.
What is the Team Entry Pass?
A mandatory pass for venue entry, downloadable from the My Avishkaar portal.
Will there be a presentation or quiz round at the finale stage?

Avishkaar Makeathon (Innovation)
What is Avishkaar Makeathon, and the theme for this year?
Makeathon focuses on innovation, and this year’s theme is called “Code of Duty”. For more details on the problem statement, please visit the official website.
How is the competition structured?
Avishkaar Makeathon requires teams to create a project (solution) to one of the problems mentioned in the problem statement document. In the Stage 1, teams have to submit a video presentation (in the specified format). Top-performing teams from Stage 1 are invited to the Stage 2 (Showcase / International Finale), where they will be physically presenting their innovation in Delhi.
What are the Stage 1 submission requirements?
Teams must submit a video of a specified length and format.
What are the categories and team size limits?
Junior, Middle, and Senior categories exist, mapped to school grades. Please check the official document for more details. The allowed team size is 1 to 4 members, while the ideal team size is 4.
Are there any restrictions on software or programming platforms?
No restrictions—teams may use any programming language or platform, provided it aligns with the judging criteria.

How do I form a team and what is the team size?
Your team can have 1 to 2 members. You can include your friends and schoolmates/classmates in your team - but they all should fit in the age criteria for the level.
What happens in Stage 1? How are gameplay videos uploaded and likes counted?
Teams create games and upload gameplay videos, and social media likes are counted as part of the evaluation.
