Ada Lovelace Day: Let's Celebrate Pioneering Indian Women in STEM

Ada Lovelace, who is frequently referred to as the first computer programmer, dreamt of a world where machines did more than just crunch numbers. Her innovative spirit has inspired a generation of inventors, thinkers, and dreamers, including myself. 


As we celebrate Ada Lovelace Day today, I would like to salute some of the most incredible Indian women who have contributed to the world of STEM. These pioneers have shown that with determination, creativity, and passion, anything is possible.


Dr. Tessy Thomas:

Meet the 'Missile Woman of India!' Dr. Tessy Thomas, is the brains behind India's Agni-IV missile program. She is now the Director General of Aeronautical Systems at DRDO. Dr. Ritu Karidhal:

 

Have you ever heard of the 'Rocket Woman of India'? That's Dr. Ritu Karidhal for you. She played a pivotal role as the Deputy Operations Director of the Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan Mission).
